Arthur N. Mabbett Awarded The EBC Daniel K. Moon Lifetime Achievement Award

Congratulations to Arthur N. Mabbett, Chairman and CEO of Mabbett & Associates, Inc., on receiving the prestigious Daniel K. Moon Lifetime Achievement Award from the Environmental Business Council of New England. This accolade is a testament to his exceptional contributions and dedication. Arthur was humbled and honored last night when he received the award at the EBC’s Annual Event held at the City Winery in Boston, Massachusetts (an amazing venue by the way).

“Good evening honorees, family, friends and guests. 54 years ago, I began my career as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army. I had no idea what the future would hold, and I took advantage of every opportunity I was given. My career has been personally rewarding and successful, due to the advice and support provided to me by others. I think one has to remember that one doesn’t achieve success by dong it alone. I’ve been blessed, my parents Arthur and Mary Mabbett taught me the value of hard work, honesty, and persistence. My undergraduate academic advisor indicated that I’d be a lousy dentist and that I should pursue a career in the environmental field. He was correct. Rutgers and Bailey University gave me my graduate education and an opportunity to serve my country. My army commanders at the Army Environmental Hygiene Agency encouraged me to leave active duty and to establish my own firm, and to come back and serve the U.S. Federal Government Military Services, and we’ve done that, and this goal has been achieved. I especially wish to thank my lovely wife, Beverly, for her understanding, patience, and advice over the past 52 years. Without her enduring support, and agreement to remortgage her Medford home, at least a dozen times, Mabbett & Associates would not exist today. I wish to dedicate this award to my wife, Beverly. To my family, and to all those too numerous to mention, who’ve assisted me in my journey. I’m especially proud of my son, Chris, and all of my Mabbett colleagues, many of whom are here this evening, who have worked hard to become recognized industry leaders in the environmental industry. Life is all about relationships, and relationships were the foundation for the Environmental Business Council and for Mabbett & Associates. My most sincere thank you to EBC APEX committee for selecting me for this Lifetime Achievement Award and do not forget to give back. We owe others for everything that we achieve in life. Arthur has devoted his life to the enhancement/protection of humanity and restoration/preservation of the environment.
