Gregory E. Olds, MPH, CIH, CSP, CSPI

Gregory Olds, MPH, CIH, CSP, serves as the Director of Safety, Health, and Industrial Hygiene at Mabbett, bringing over 16 years of experience in environmental health and safety (EHS), industrial hygiene, risk management, and regulatory compliance. His expertise spans safety and hazard analysis, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, EHS program development, exposure monitoring, drinking water sampling, training, and regulatory compliance across a wide range of sectors.

Greg is deeply committed to fostering safe work environments through clear, effective communication and a proactive approach to risk management. He has cultivated a broad cultural and professional perspective through extensive collaboration with private industry, federal agencies, state and local governments. His ability to engage with diverse teams has contributed to the development of responsive, inclusive, and sustainable safety programs.

Before joining Mabbett, Greg served as a US Army Environmental Science Officer, where he planned and led comprehensive EHS surveys and assessments in support of Army, Air Force, and Navy units. His work included operations with special forces, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense teams, and medical support units such as field hospitals and laboratories deployed across the globe. This military experience has shaped his disciplined, mission-focused approach to protecting human health and ensuring operational readiness in both routine and high-risk environments.

Personal Touch

Outside of work, I find my greatest joy in spending time with my wife and our three daughters. Whether it’s a quiet weekend at home or an adventurous trip, I cherish every opportunity to create lasting memories with them. Traveling is a true passion of mine that allows me to explore new cultures, experience different perspectives, and share those enriching moments with my family. My time in the Army played a major role in shaping that passion, giving me the chance to see the world and appreciate its diversity. As a lifelong history enthusiast, I make it a point to visit historical landmarks wherever I go—from castles and forts to museums and heritage sites. These experiences not only deepen my understanding of the past but also connect me with the places I visit. When I’m not with family or traveling, you can usually find me following Pittsburgh sports, riding my motorcycle, or working on classic cars. Whether it’s cheering on the Black and Gold, hitting the open road, or restoring vintage vehicles, I enjoy hobbies that blend excitement, craftsmanship, and community.
